Surely though there must be some kind of ‘best practice’? My external drive attached to the Mac is a standard powered USB3 HDD bay. Found a few posts that skirted around the issues and some seem to contradict each other.
I’d guess there are common settings that need to be made to a Mac Mini running Plex if its sole job is as a 24/7 server, attached to a TV via HDMI but in my case, mostly accessed by IOS devices and Apple TV. Looked for ages about this but couldn’t come up with a single consolidated post that covered everything.
